Last updated July 12, 2026
These terms cover your use of Checkful. By using the app, you agree to them, so please read them through.
Using Checkful
Checkful is a mobile app that helps you track your kitchen, reduce food waste, plan grocery trips, and cook what you already have. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial household use.
- You agree to use the app lawfully and as intended.
- You're responsible for the content you enter and for keeping your device secure.
- You may not misuse the app — for example by attempting to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, or access it in unauthorized ways.
Your content
The items, lists, recipes, and other content you add are yours. Since this data is stored on your device, you're responsible for backing it up where that's available. When you use AI-powered features, you grant us permission to process the content you submit in order to generate the response you requested.
AI-generated suggestions
Features like Smart Add, expiration estimates, and Use It Up meal ideas are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always use your own judgment about food safety, allergens, and expiration. Checkful is not a substitute for professional or medical advice, and you should not rely on it to determine whether food is safe to eat.
Availability and changes
We're always improving Checkful, so features may change, be added, or be removed over time. We may also update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates and suggestions will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Checkful and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including spoiled food, missed purchases, or lost data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
